The firmware at mt13×9_files yahoo group is different than oppo’s. Different file size. I tried it and it is exactly what Mauricio asked for. BTW andy thank you for the lastest hack.

There is a new oppo970 firmware at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mt13×9_files/files/, works great for my CRT tv with component input.

Unfirtunately I do not own Oppo970 so I do not plan to modify firmware for it.

Component upconversion is unfortunately not available on this player due to hardware limitations (namely, the Faroudja board is electrically not connected to the component outputs). This player does not have any HDCP protection, so you are HDCP free out of the box.

Hi guys. Anyone working on the Oppo970/BBK988 firmware ? Lot’s of people would like to enable Upconvertion over component / HDCP disabling.
