Andy,

Oppo just released a new firmware with several enhancements at http://www.oppodigital.com/opdv971h_firmware_0720.html I wonder if you can apply your updates to this version as I like some of the features of your version but I need some of the updates they made as well.

Andy,
When I select sub-title language (in a region 4 dis), appears "PROTUGUESE" but the correct is "PORTUGUESE".
Could you correct it in the next fw update?

Thanks so much!!

Andy,
Sorry if my questions are stupid, but I'm kinda lost here... What's the difference of all those firmware files you have here (vK1, vK2, vB1, etc)??? Which one should I use??? Should I assume vK3 is the latest one? Also, can I go back to Oppo original firmware after flashing with yours ???
Thanks so much for your excellent work !!!

I think that it is impossible: x264 playback needs support from hardware and mt1398 chip do not has it.

Andy,

Is there a way to add X264 playback to this machine? I asked Oppo and they said they are trying to get licensing to do it. This link has information about the codec: http://kaizoku-fansubs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=49

Great job on this firmware. I'm going to try it out and see if I can get my mp4 video files to play. Hopefully the lip-sync issue does not return.

Andy, I do need more than 50 chars, that's the only thing that I've been waiting fir since the day 1.

What if the screen remains the same but the scrolling is added? In that case it won't be that slow since the first 50 chars are already on the screen. If you could do that, at least temporary, that would be perfect.
I hope it is not too dificult....

Trance Dog, You really need more that 50 chars? Original scrolling is too ugly and slow. When I find how to accelerate it I'll return scrolling.

Can you please mod the f/w that it would scroll through the filenames as it was done originally?
Except it would scroll through entire screen.

Thanks!
